The Imperfect Marriage Recap & Spoilers: What Happens Next

Minutes before walking down the aisle, Vivian catches her fiancé Felix being unfaithful with her maid of honor, Tessa. Felix calls off the wedding, cruelly shaming Vivian's changing appearance and mocking her financial ruin after spending her fortune on medical expenses for her comatose father.

Drowning her sorrow in a local bar while still wearing her bridal gown, Vivian encounters Quentin Davenport. Facing pressure from business associates to find a spouse in order to solidify his corporate standing, Quentin proposes a flash marriage on the spot, offering financial security that Vivian accepts to save her father.

After an intimate wedding night, Vivian is horrified when Felix knocks on the bedroom door looking to discuss business with his father, exposing Quentin's real identity. Quentin quickly ushers his son out before Vivian can be seen.

Stunned by the realization that she married her former fiancé's father, Vivian suspects she was targeted as a pawn. Quentin feels conflicted by the immense age difference and family betrayal. Believing their marriage was an error, the two agree to meet at the local courthouse that afternoon to annul the union.

Visiting the clinic, Vivian learns her father requires a full year of intensive therapy to survive, putting her under extreme financial pressure. Desperate, she approaches Felix to ask back luxury assets she gave him, including a sports car and watch, so she can settle the clinic bills.

Felix responds with cruel insults, refusing to return the items and stating that the heirloom engagement ring is already on someone else's finger. Overhearing his son's vile behavior, Quentin determines that Vivian is his rightful wife and vows to reject the annulment to shield her from further mistreatment.
